Can I receive a Carers go free ticket if I accompany someone who may require assistance?
If you are a customer and have additional needs and require assistance on your visits to Guildford Spectrum, we can issue one complimentary ticket to the Leisure Pool and Ice Skating per disabled customer. The carers go free ticket is available to help customers who have additional needs or who require assistance to access and fully enjoy our facilities.
To obtain a complimentary carers ticket, a carer must complete the form below. The carer must include their full details and send an eligible document* for verification along with their application.
Once we receive the application, we will verify and confirm the Active Card has been set up and contact customers with booking instructions.
Carers go free tickets will be available to book online, in person or on the phone. We always encourage pre booking for our activities. The carers go free ticket will discount to ‘free’ in the basket, alongside a concession ticket.
Our Customer Service Team will endeavour to respond to your application within 48 hours.
Please note: to be eligible for a carers go free ticket, customers must accompany another customer in receipt of DLA/PIP Letter or a Blue Badge (Front and Back). Eligibility for concession tickets will need to be shown at your chosen activity. Documentation should be dated within the last 2 years, documentation dated later than this may be rejected.
*You'll need to provide proof of disability for the person you are caring for to obtain your Carers Go Free card and you will need to bring verification for the concession ticket along with you when entering your chosen activity, this can be any of the following documentation:
- Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
- Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
- Blue Badge (photo ID required)
- A registration card known as the BD8 or a Certificate of Visual Impairment (CVI)
- Access Card with +1 symbol
You will not need to show proof of eligibility for a carers ticket at the centre as this would have been verified by our team prior to booking.
